showdown again

I'm once again taking part in the showdown at saatchi online with my work Saint Bunker, which is an infrared photograph taken in the village Saintes Maries de la Mer in southern France back in October. That same picture is also used for the invitation card of my up and coming exhibition 'Things I haven't seen' which opens 26.1. at Malmitalo art gallery, but more on that later.

I just dumpster dived some film materials from the remains of the legendary movie theater Bristol. enough heads and tails to keep me bleaching and scratching film for a while! and a 2000m reel which is also quite usable. Also some cardboard film boxes and plastic film cans.

Taidelainaamo - The Artotheque

Finally got my ass up enough to take few of my paintings to the Artotheque at the Library of Rikhardinkatu. All four paintings are now going for the price of 800e, and artotheque works so that you can just loan the paintings for a small monthly fee, and if you want to keep em you'll just pay the fee until you've paid the whole sum. Or if the painting doesn't fit your sofa or new fridge, you can just return it to the Artotheque. I'm also gonna deliver some ready-to-wall photographs there in a month or two.

SKjL exhibition at Järvenpää art museum 13.10.2010-30.1.2011

The annual juried exhibition of SKjL opened yesterday at Järvenpää Art museum and will be open until 30.1.2011. My painting Babylon is part of the exhibition.
