Taidelainaamo - The Artotheque

Finally got my ass up enough to take few of my paintings to the Artotheque at the Library of Rikhardinkatu. All four paintings are now going for the price of 800e, and artotheque works so that you can just loan the paintings for a small monthly fee, and if you want to keep em you'll just pay the fee until you've paid the whole sum. Or if the painting doesn't fit your sofa or new fridge, you can just return it to the Artotheque. I'm also gonna deliver some ready-to-wall photographs there in a month or two.

SKjL exhibition at Järvenpää art museum 13.10.2010-30.1.2011

The annual juried exhibition of SKjL opened yesterday at Järvenpää Art museum and will be open until 30.1.2011. My painting Babylon is part of the exhibition.

INVITATION
Join and Play in the Artists Orchestra of Finland!
A unique one-time performance at KIASMA Theater at 2pm on November 13, 2010.


Shinji Kanki, a Japanese composer (http://silakka.fi), is looking for as
many artists(working with any arts) as possible to form a temporal
orchestra in order to realize his newest composition "The Art of War - War
Symphony".

Instruments required are Your everyday listening system, such as record
player, c-cassette player, radio, mp3 player (with speakers), etc. You
would read simple instructions how to "PLAY" your listening system.

Erkki Pirtola conducts the orchestra and Kalle Leino, a young painter
plays drum as soloist. The estimated numbers of the orchestra players
needed are between 60 - 100.
